The Grammar Minutes Series

The main objective of The Grammar Minutes series is to identify the student's ability to comprehend grammar and Language Arts skills. These skills are necessary for students to master before they are exposed to standardize testing as well as before moving on to the next grade. Some of the practice skills in these books include:

*nouns
*verbs
*adjectives
*punctuation
*sentence structure
*capital letters
*contractions
*pronouns
*articles
*prepositions
*prefixes
*suffixes

Teachers and parents can use this resource, to improve their class or child’s grammar skills. The skills in these books will prepare students for mastery of grammar skills that are necessary to pass standardized tests.
Grammar Minutes features 100 “minutes” of activities. Each minute has ten teacher tested questions for students to complete in one minute no more than two. When first beginning, students may need longer than a minute to complete in order to become familiar with being timed. Students will start to enjoy this one minute task and enjoy the instant feedback. Students will begin to feel challenged with each “grammar minute” and will be motivated to their best.

Grammar Minutes are formatted to be implemented in sequential order according to how they will be introduced during the school year. However, the teacher can decide when best to use the minutes as review or mastery information. These grammar assessments can be used everyday in the classroom in various ways . These ways can include:

*pre assess grammar knowledge before a topic is introduced
*assess student mastery and understanding after a lesson has been introduced
*prepare for standardized tests
*quick review before the lesson or after the lesson
*homework assignment
*state standard or objective mastery checklist
*also useful for home-schooled children

What teachers are saying about Grammar Minutes

I love your book!
My class did a chant before starting GrammarMinutes!
When I say Grammar You say Minutes
Teacher: Grammar Students: Minutes We repeated the chant three times. By the time we were finished chanting, all students were prepared for the lesson.
The lessons are student and teacher friendly. My students were so excited to complete the activities. Job well done soror!

Carmen, I am so proud of you. Your book is wonderful. My students enjoy doing the activities. The assignments are not too long and boring, but just enough to keep the students on track and remembering skills that they have already been taught. I hope that someday, my children's short stories make it to publication. Again, Congratulations and way to go!!!
